there is a saying out there that says Whatever you do to your body in your 20's you will pay for it in your 50's. I have had a little confirmation of that saying lately.
In my youth i was a lifeguard, and I taught swimming lessons. I hated sunglasses and never wore sun screen. I was not a sun worshiper, unless there was a cute guy to talk too or friends to hang out with. I was never one who just layed out in the sun to get a "tan".
I lived in Turkey for two years and i taught swimming lessons, and walked everywhere , you could not hide from the sun there.
I know that is where all my sun damage came from. I have already had one cancerous lesion cut off my back.
So the other day i went in for my annual eye exam, my eyes are just bad enough to have to wear reading glasses but lateley i feel like they have gotten worse. The doctor informed me i have the start of some cataracts not bad enough to do anything but they are there. I am thinking oh great, he asked me if i spent a lot of time out in the sun when i was younger. Yes I did . Well that is why you have them sun damage.
On the postive side to all of this, I now have contact lenses and i love them i just need to learn how to put them on faster i am up to fifteen minutes. For some reason the right is harder than the left. The First time it took me 2 1/2 hours to put them in.
Oh my gosh the things i can see, i Love it.
I see the world more clearer now :)
